Commercial photo shoots are not always builders or industrial. We also photograph commercial stands and fit outs for convention stalls such as this one at the Brisbane Convention Centre last week. These are shot in a similar way to real estate but concentrating on branding and positioning the tripod to incorporate the material that is being presented. Name and sign placement are important making it a little more technical involving a number of things into one shot.
With our commercial photography projects, There’s a focus on concentrating the camera to show what it’s all about. These areas are already well lit with flood lights but to help create natural tones we might not always use the flash and instead go with available light and work the shutter speed. Flash causes shadows which can be handled with extra flash heads set up but in a short timeframe to shoot before stallholders and people come in we need to work quickly and get out before the area is used.
